“Gary Payton,” is a rare evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created through crossing the classic They X Snowman strains. Known for its hard-hitting high and long-lasting effects, Cookies Gary Payton is definitely best suited for the experienced patient. The high comes on with an almost immediate effect, slamming into your mind with a high level of potency and launching it into a state of pure euphoria. As your mind flies higher and higher, you’ll feel an increase in your energy level that is accompanied by focus and sometimes a case of the giggles. With these effects and its super high 30-35% average THC level and 1-5% CBD level, Cookies Gary Payton is often chosen to treat those suffering from conditions such as headaches or migraines, chronic stress or anxiety, depression and ADD or ADHD. This bud has a spicy yet sweet and savoury diesel flavour with a lightly herbal exhale. Maybe it’s the Krft Mrkt speaking, but we got higher with each toke. Serious nugs that you have to break up instead of smushing in your bud buster. Joint kept going out as we became more and more distracted. Absolutely should be top shelf reserve, don’t ever want to run out.

Gary Payton has been around Ontario gov dispensaries for a few years now but none have grow it to the level like these guys, really shows you the meaning of “craft cannabis” with their batches the flower is extremely sticky to the point where I break it up with my hands before putting it into the grinder. It may look and smell like an indica but hybrid fans need to give it a try as it’s a great 50/50 levelled strain. Also very strong!! I’ve seen this strain on a seed company before seeing it here. Was excited to try this one. At first I was sceptic about the 35% percent THC. I rolled a ±1 gram joint like I always do to test new things. It’s been 30 years I’m smoking, we can talk about veteran user here! ;P At opening the smell is on the earthy side. Not a bomb smell but nice. Buds are tight, really tight. Near rock but the humdifyer in the package maintain it in the perfect range. The taste is smooth and you want to try it another time. The high come slowly like every good strain. It’s been years I didn’t experiment a high like this. The smile locked in my face at point I was wondering why I was smiling soooO much. Was laughing at absolutely nothing. It’s beautifull! Happy. Just happy. Yes I think it is 35% percent now! Was very high! I don’t think it’s a 50/50. More like ±65% sativa from all I smoked. Really energetic high with lots of fun. 😀

I’ll try to make this review purely objective, dismissing any personal preferences since considering the entourage effect these will always vary anyway.
I enjoy trying every craft strain CS puts out since they are the only true strain representatives I’ve been able to find shopping at various MoMs, I was doubly interested in trying this GP offering as I recently purchased the same strain from a competitor and was quite disappointed in the taste, nose and smoothness of it, though the potency at 29% and bag appeal was very good, I bought it on sale for $100 a Z and can say I’m satisficed overall but wouldn’t buy it again. Now finally on to the point, I immediately enjoyed the fresh nose, nice smooth taste, and lovely buds this version presented in stark contrast to the other version. Additionally not only is the potency higher at 35%, the quality of the high is far superior. (Something many forget to consider), I also bought this on sale, but for $168, $68 more than MoM ‘B’. My satisfaction level is much higher with this version in every way, well worth paying $68 more and I’d buy it again.
