Starburst OG, also known as “Starburst Kush” or “Starburst,” is an sativa dominant hybrid strain (20% indica/80% sativa) created through crossing the powerful Fire OG X Pre-98 Bubba Kush strains. Named for the iconic candy, this bud packs a taste that is said to be just like the yellow flavor with relaxing effects to boot. That being said, Starburst OG does taste like a sweet yet sour lemon candy. The aroma takes a heavier turn, with hints of savory diesel and rich pine to it, too. As the headline implies the slight bit of fruitiness to this smoke is the only star of the show here the rest is pretty generic . It’s not bad and worth a 4 out of five because its smooth enough, has a slight fruity taste and the high is about on par for most craft offerings, but not in the same strata as a top dogs like apricot jelly or pancake ice.

Okay so this might sound strange, but this strain smells and tastes super weird. Right out of the bag it’s super shrilly fruity, but also kinda bent- like a fridge full of fruit past their prime. Co smoker says it smells like he ate a bellyful of strawberries and threw up- he gagged rolling it 😂 I got pretty excited at this point because I know uncommon weirdo smells sometimes mean HUGE rockin strain effects. This strain definitely qualifies. Flavour? Not fruit, but lox and applewood smoked cheddar. I was so shocked. Anyway, it is a bizarre little thing but it also had gorgeous strong effects. 4.5 if I could!
